An update from Ian Stother regarding the Spring Run on 15th April -
I have been checking the roads for this event, and the roads in and out of Twechar have a mixture of speedhumps and potholes to deter all but the most determined visitors who presumable arrive in other people's cars, articulated lorries or historic military vehicles.
The Spring Run will therefore be altered:
Start - Kirkhouse Inn, Strathblane, G63 9AA as before. Leave from 1030
Route - "Views of the Forth and Clyde Canal" to Auchinstarry, and return to the Kirkhouse Inn for lunch at 1330.
A run to the historic Doune Castle near Stirling.
Members can meet in the car park of the Riverside Museum of Transport (G3 8RS) at 10am, where a 'rural route' map will be distributed. Alternatively, meet at the Doune Castle Car Park (FK16 3EA) at 12.30.
Picnic facilities are available at the castle, and there are other eating venues in the village.
Run by Keith Ward of the Armstrong Siddeley Club (Scotland) who would like to kno wnumbers and whether or not you would be willing to take members of the public short runs in your car for a charitable donation. Contact Keith on 01259 769397 or 07977 490522 and please inform the SWTVC club secretary if you are going to be there.
SWTVC members should meet at the Homebase/Halleys car park in Milngavie at 10am or proceed directly to Lomond Shores in Balloch for 11am.
2012 Summer Run - Bo'ness and Kinneil Railway
This years run will be from Stirling Motorway Services (Junction 9 on the M80 and M9) at 10am. A non motorway route to the steam rail way at Bo'ness will take members to the railway with the possibility of workshop tours, train rides, and possibly for the more exemplary fathers a ride on the footplate.
Please let the club secretary know by Monday 2nd June if you are intending on coming.

2012 Club Autojumble. As previously held in Lenzie, the same location will be used this year. Further details will be available in due course.
2012 AGM. Weather permitting, the 2012 AGM will be held again. More details will be made available when ready.
