Scottish Western Thoroughbred Vehicle Club

In 1978, a meeting at The Cross Keys in Milngavie saw the birth of the Scottish Western Thoroughbred Vehicle Club . Other Clubs at that time tended to be “One Make Clubs”.

Bill Gardner managed to engage the interest of some Vintage car owners; Mike Cartney, Eddie Chilcott, Dan Gardner, Bob Flockhart,  Donald Fraser, Graham Runcieman and John Stewart.  The meeting in The Cross Keys discussed the need for a Club that catered for the owners of all types of older vehicles….the rest, they say, is history.
