Monthly meetings: These normally take place on the 3rd Tuesday of the month in the Kirkhouse Inn at 08.00PM but are suspended meantime.
All members welcome.
IMPORTANT: See note from Dan Gardner later in this Bulletin.
The opinions expressed in this bulletin are not necessarily those of the committee or any of its members.
I hope everyone is keeping well in these difficult days
How sad that this lovely time of year is blighted by the virus emergency.
It is now 9 days into the lockdown and Cabin Fever has not set in yet but I have to admit the novelty is beginning to wear off.
As there is nothing happening it is pointless to issue further Bulletins until this crisis is over. The Committee will remain in touch by email and I will keep members informedof developments.
Message from Dan Gardner:
There will be no further Third Tuesday meetings at the Kirkhouse until further notice and this unfortunately includes the proposed May Revival meeting.
Depending on how matters develop a lunchtime Revival meeting might be able to be scheduled for one of the autumn third Tuesdays.”
Keep well in these strange times.
A word of caution from Harry Sherry:
If your modern car is lying unused for an extended period start and move it occasionally. Batteries can go flat and may even deteriorate when not in use. Also beware of handbrakes and clutches seizing. These are precautions we take as a matter of course with our oldies but may overlook in the everyday car.
Finally, a message from our Chairman:
Dear Club Members,
Together, we are facing a truly unprecedented situation. The global Corona virus pandemic is affecting all of our families, our businesses, our communities, and our way of life. During this time, I want to convey my best wishes for all to stay safe, especially if you or your family members have been impacted by the virus. Special thoughts to those who may be sick or recovering and I extend these kind wishes to Health Care Workers on the frontline.
Follow the Health Information you have been given. Further information and guidance can be found here.
With this said, I wish all members good health and look forward to the end of this lockdown and we can all get our ‘Beauties’ out of the garage and back on the road.
Until we meet up again. Take care all.
Alan Brown (Chairman)
